warwic wmgIt’s fantastic to see that the new Service Management MSc run by Warwick University has had such a successful 1st year. The course has been specifically designed for to develop the specialist business skills needed to deliver profitable and sustainable services in any industry.  What is especially pleasing to see is that course leader Mairi MacIntyre has strived to keep the MSc as up to date and relevant to the needs of Industry. To this end I was privileged to be part of the small group of industry attendees asked to review the programme this month.  The needs of the companies providing input at first glance seems very diverse. IBM, Rolls Royce, British Airways & the UK Health service certainly represent very different commercial and operating environments. However when we look more closely, we see that the basic building blocks of a successful service business are the same. This inclusivity is the essence of the course, which aims to use their diverse range of backgrounds to foster creativity and learning.
