Is the penny finally dropping for UK manufacturers

by NIck Frank on June 1, 2012

Readers of this blog will be aware of PSi’s passion for services, so you will be well aware of our delight at seeing an article in the FT highlighting the importance of services to the future of UK manufacturing. The article pointed out that UK companies have been slow in adding services to their business. For example over 50% of US business’s have services as an important part of their portfolio compared to 30% in the UK. But at least we are starting to talk about it. Groups such as the Service Community are also import forums for spreading the word.

So there is a huge opportunity and PSI will certainly be lobbying hard to raise the profile of services in manufacturing
